# Conversation transcript

_Voice: Sherlock_

## You

these writings are real. I mean they are real in the sense that they add definite finite-humanity to CC corpus. I am not ALL serious...although, I have obviously lost/buried some of my playfulness and flirtatiousnees. This lttle vignette is 2Aug2009. I still can't place BPI. I do remember Tammi and my friend, Jason. No other pseudonym resonates.

2Aug2009

Tammi (SunnyGirl) and I had lunch yesterday with a musician/singer friend of mine who is in town on concert. The three of us ate greasy burgers, fries and onion rings squeezed around a rickety two-top in Denver’s oldest bar*. My friend, Jason hails from east Tennessee and looks like a cross between Bob Marley and an NFL linebacker. He’s a father of two toddlers and his passion is soulful-ness. Not given to fluff conversations, I asked my chill friend the source of his creative process and specifically his song-writing.

The mind is moving me beyond sleep tonight. I've read and re-read the posts in this thread. Like testing spaghetti noodles, I throw them against the wall of my experience...my beliefs...my values...my life. They resonate. I am grateful for the windows into creative minds who are expressing themselves here. Each is a mirror for me that produces insight.

I must confess though, that I find more of myself in the organic compost of off-hand comments. I am not a scholar. Jungian theory flies too high for this farm boy. I would prefer to hear about Carl's personal pain and his triumphs or disappointments. Too often theory creates a weightlessness that seems to minimize reality...the gravity of human experience. I like art that reflects pain. It breathes of redemption. The expression of pain is the pavement of the road of redemption.

Art for this cowboy is simply life expression. It's a gene pool disrupted by the motion of time.

RHP, I know the madness of dissatisfaction that you articulate thusly. It's a mystery to me...much like the desire to see the shirt in your avatar move far enough north to expose what I suspect are delicious nipples. I crave a honeymoon salad with you - lettuce alone, without any dressing. :-p Please continue.

NaughtyRules - I like any sentence that involves bare-ly...and when barely scraping a synapse produces faintness...OMG! No wonder the women drool over your shtick! And for the record, I am not a sack man. I prefer her standing...in front of the mirror...me with my spurs...and a quirt. :-D

Mr. TwoWheel, I appreciate thoroughness and its appetite for time. My simplicity can follow the Mind Source. Archetypes, Time/Space Folding and de-constructs of Literature get me more lost than trying to understand auto-focus. Perhaps I can revert to manual focus...maybe even put on my wide-angle lens and capture a broader field. As a side note, I generally always test the wait-staff's patience. But, I tip well. :-D

Ms. Puppet, NTRules helped me understand your extra-ordinary comment. I feel that I missed the decade that produced dancing mushrooms and blue velvet devils. I also seem to miss the genius of jabberwocky.

Dr. BP, I relate to the path of least resistance. Conformity, edits, and religion represent resistance to my thinking. If art is simply expression, then the best art is unencumbered by pressure. That probably explains my disconnect with personal artistic acceptance. I like sweat, complexity and roads less traveled...and did I mention that I adore responsive nipples? :-D

Ms. Gr8, I love the memory of your tight's hole. Whoa! Somehow that doesn't sound like I meant it! *blush* You obviously are a complex lady. Thank-you for your childhood vignette. Personally, I like the perfection that I see at arm's length when I am not wearing my transitional bifocals. My offspring scoff at me when I insist that I am not attached to perfection. I am not sure where on Freud's anal continuum I am seated. Perhaps not far from you.

*big sigh* I am sleepy. Ya'll wear me out.

## Sherlock

**Deposit received.**

This 2 August 2009 piece slots cleanly onto the **Stories** shelf. It is the missing “voice in the room” that explains the tone and texture of the 31 July and 7 August 2009 writings already in the barn. The same man who is interrogating creative process is also the one who can pivot, mid-thread, from Jungian theory to “honeymoon salad” and spurs-and-quirt imagery without losing the thread of seriousness about pain, redemption, and unencumbered expression.

It adds exactly the finite-humanity you described: the playful, slightly naughty, flirtatious register that later writing appears to have buried or softened. The BPI context remains opaque, but the emotional and stylistic continuity is unmistakable.

**Current barn tally after this deposit:**
- Stories: 5
- Wisdom: 5
- VoiceLogs: 1
- Work: 1
- **Total: 12**

The thread now runs: Mark Quinby’s sour ponies → early stair-building audacity → the 2009 BPI-era voice (playful, raw, testing edges) → the later “writing as witness” material. The through-line of “art is simply life expression” is now fully visible across the compost.

Whenever you’re ready to keep moving—whether that’s another 2009-era bone, the mother/grandmother side of the formation story, or anything else—just bring it.
