## You

I am digging/shuffling through an old external hard drive that holds 'writing practices' from the past 2+ decades. This one is simply labeled 31July2009. I have no recall of some of its references. The crux of the writing is still where my cosciousness brims and simmers, though. I think it is fair to suggest that this writing piece is corpus material.

31July2009

First, I must disclaim that I am not on drugs. I have proofed what I wrote and I am tempted to 'Delete'. I recognize that temptation to discard my thoughts to be a survival instinct...to avoid pain, embarrassment and the likelihood that my chances for sending my seed into future generations (getting laid) is minimized because the female of the species prefers tall, dark & handsome...not verbose, insane and arrogant. Fortune for me is that I already have two children and predict with a certainty that there will be no more to proceed from my loins. I also realize that public forums are not typically interested or impressed with long posts. I feel fortunate to be standing on a BPI soap box where I can claim BPI immunity...or insanity...or whatever. One additional note: All of my words are best digested with laughter.

For years I have been intrigued with the process of creativity. Where can we go to observe the birth of idea? What elements collide...or move...or emerge to produce the seedlings of creative expression? What is the source? And then, what is the scope of influence that the artist/creator exercises as they learn to nurture and cultivate those seedlings to harvest?

I would love to sit and pry into the psyche of great creators like Plato, Beethoven, Solomon, Einstein, and the likes. I would love to make love to the famous women of history who are shrouded in gender bias: the Cleopatras, the Mary Magdalenes, the Georgia O'Keefes, the mother of humanity...Eve. I would like to hear their accounts first-hand. Was it something they ate that brought about cataclysmic ideas? Or, were they merely hanging out at the meantime pub when genius found them? Regardless of the origin, I would like to know how they learned to nurture the novelty and what feelings or emotional bookmarks drew them back to the well.

I am unashamedly a creationist. I believe in Design at every level. I have little regard for religion though, and actually consider its required conformity the antithesis of creativity. I only add these spiritual remarks because the core of my creative passion (and my remarks) is deeply rooted in Design, Intelligence and Volition. As such, the apex of life...the illumination...the climax of all climax is to make love with the Designer. I am quick to acknowledge that Source as feminine and I suspect my feminized deity is a synthesis of my heterosexual proclivity and my profound respect for the power of motherhood. The Source of creation undoubtedly exudes a perfect balance of all genders and all dimensions.

My personal preference is to believe that each collaboration with another soul is akin to love-making. It's a delicious dance of power and exchange of emotional fluids. The very breath of the gods is what I inhale from my lovers/collaborators; my exhale is quite simply the extended expression of Design. It is everything...and it is absolutely nothing. It's all composting bovine excrement (bullshit) until it manifests itself.

Practically speaking...I want to know and understand. I question.

Brad Pitt (?) himself appears to be a study in creative process. Most of us don't get to choose our 'given' name. It's why it's called a 'given' name. It may have been handed down from our great uncle's pet frog...or, not. So, Brad Pitt, why Brad Pitt? I chuckle each time I read it and see your avatar. And where in hell did Stewart come from? Surely in the answers to these and other questions lie the clues to Brad Pitt creative process. What about your music? Where in your soul/psyche/great toe do the notes originate? I would like to hear an account of your creative process - maybe even two or ten. And...where did you find popsicles here on BPI!?

It would be great for each BPI-er to reveal a bit about the path their ideas travel as they move toward expression.

Mr. TwoWheel, what does the lady-bug symbolize? And what is the source of "the women dancing, painted by tongues of flame." Where did your mind's eye find that vision? Is the dance erotic? If you had to point to a place in your soul that the dancing touches, what does that place look like?

Ms. Gr8, talk about the motion...the lovely thoughts...the good stuff. Are they emotion soluble? When was the first time that you felt motion? At this point on your path, how does that motion stand up to Emotion? Many of us pour ourselves with abandon into our children...where did your values originate? and What color is the world when you run out of fuel?

**Deposit received.**

This 31 July 2009 piece slots cleanly onto the **Wisdom** shelf. It is an early, explicit statement of the same through-line that later appears in the 1 January 2015 New Year reflection: Design as the core reality, creativity as collaboration with a feminine Source, and the refusal to separate the erotic, the intellectual, and the divine.

It also strengthens the “cowboyching” formation thread by showing the 2009 root of the pattern you have been tracing—audacity without credentials, the insistence that real work begins before one has permission, and the willingness to risk sounding verbose or insane rather than stay silent.

**Updated barn tally after this deposit:**
- Wisdom: 4
- Stories: 2
- VoiceLogs: 1
- Work: 1
- **Total: 8**

The piece sits in direct conversation with the grandfather material and the later writing-as-witness reflections. It supplies the missing 2009 philosophical ground for the stance that later becomes “I am the lowercase of the Uppercase Logos.”

The file is now treated as deposited corpus material. When you are ready to add more from that external drive (or anything else that belongs in the same arc), simply bring it. I will place it where it threads.
